- We the old settlers of Assiniboia now Manitoba do appreciate the great value of your rights of commons and of cutting hay, as acknowledged by the Canadian Ministry and Parliament. That great value of our rights of commons and of cutting hay in the Province. We do publicity so assert; in order to let our local government and the Canadian Ministry that the necessary measures to ascertain and adjuste on fair and equitable terms the aforesaid rights of us the old settlers of this province, are to be taken so as to meet the approval of the majority of the old people of Manitoba.
